- Open Live rankings from the home page or footer. These lists have their own items and results, separate from your personal lists. Anyone can read them; sign in with a full account to contribute.
- Live rankings open on the combined leaderboard. Switch to Play, select a preference and confirm with Lock it in unless auto-advance is enabled. The middle is a tie. For live rankings, the server chooses comparisons within your selected list filters, prioritising unanswered pairs with less shared coverage, then similarly ranked contenders. Changing a filter or skipping requests another server-selected pair. Skip moves to another pair without voting.
- Shared results update live, with periodic refreshes if the live connection is unavailable. Your current pair stays put when other people vote. Personal rankings are never submitted or changed automatically.
Read the results
Each person has one current answer per pair. Comparing more distinct pairs fills gaps; repeating a pair replaces the old answer without adding weight. Scores fit the current shared preferences, not the order in which votes arrived.
Results describe participating Tilt users, not a representative public poll. Early results can move substantially as more people answer.
Shared leaderboards show one continuous order. Estimated marks positions with limited comparisons, disconnected comparisons or tied scores. Items without answers appear below an Unranked separator, without a position or score. These positions can change as comparisons fill the gaps.
Change or remove an answer
On Rankings, Your order shows the ranking inferred from your votes. Review your answers lets you revise or withdraw individual answers. The Undo button in Play removes your latest saved change and tells you what changed. Keep pressing it to undo earlier votes, revisions or withdrawals. Undo history is saved in this browser for your account and list. It survives refreshing or reopening the list while voting is open. Changes from another device reset this browser’s undo history. Live rankings only accept individual votes; you cannot arrange or save an entire order. Changes in another tab require a refresh before you can edit again.
Individual ballots and voter names are not published. Contributions are linked to your account, and changes in a small crowd can still make choices inferable. Requesting account deletion removes your contributions from the results; cancelling deletion restores them during the grace period.
Changed public lists have separate voting revisions. Previous lists in Details remain readable, and you can withdraw old contributions. Rankings from different revisions are never combined.
