Make Tilt feel right for you
Choose your appearance, voting pace and list options.
Appearance and pace
Open Preferences from the desktop sidebar or mobile navigation. The section links open Voting, Home layout or List settings. Choose dark mode or follow your device’s appearance under Appearance. Text size offers Small, Normal and Large, with Normal as the default. The compact three-option control also appears in Quick preferences, alongside Dark mode and Use device appearance. Changing either text-size control updates the other. Text size follows your saved preferences and applies to dialogs and list extension controls too. The gear button opens quick preferences on every screen, including appearance, voting mode and auto-continue. All preferences opens the full page; playing a list adds its options to the popup.
Quick pick is the default for new users and lets you choose your favourite between two cards. Detailed choice uses a five-point slider to show how strongly you prefer one, or call a tie. Auto-continue submits either kind of choice immediately; leave it off to confirm with Lock it in. Both settings are also in quick preferences. Use the i buttons there for short explanations.
List options
Some lists have extra controls, such as showing names or choosing who appears in comparisons. You can reach these from the gear button while playing personal lists or public and group rankings. Only options included in that list are shown. Filtering comparisons does not remove items you have already ranked.
When signed in, preferences follow your account across devices. Accounts without saved preferences start with your current choices. Signed-out preferences stay on this device; offline account changes sync when you reconnect. If syncing fails, a notification lets you know while Tilt retries automatically. Choose Account settings in Preferences for account, age and AI controls.
